Investigators: Duggie, Tracey, Jayne, Benny and Jason
Before we began theinvestigation we took some base readings from all of the main rooms to be investigated. They were as follows:

Just before we began ourinvestigation on the ground floor, we set up a motion sensor pointing from thecorner of the upper room area into the room. A trigger object was placed in the upper room area (compass) and anotherset up on the front desk (coaster). On the first floor a camera was set up inthe locked archive room with a trigger object (coin) and voice recorder.
We began on the groundfloor, at the upper end, when we heard the motion sensor go off. We all felt quite calm at this stage and moved to the main entrance door to check the sensor and to see if we could detect what could have set it off. Tracey was aware of a strange feeling over her third eye, heaviness. As we walked into the quiet area a tensefeeling was being felt by more than one of us, it seemed cooler to us and there appeared to be cold spots. Again, Tracey had the third eye feeling. The temperature was taken again and was 18.4. Some of us were complaining of an uneasy feeling a nervous feeling! Tracey was given the picture of a young girl, dressed in a white dress belowthe knee, she had a white ribbon tied in her hair and her dress was pulled inat the waist. It was felt she was about 8 years old. She was pulling the hand of a female as though to pull her away and she kept saying “come on mum, come with me.” The date give was 1730. Jayne then complained of a tightening to the chest, the feeling like when someone has asthma.
Benny, Dug and Jason saying they felt goose bumps and their hair standing on end.
Various checks were made totest the motion sensor but this tested fine.
We now moved to the other end of the room (Lower room area) where both Jayne and Tracey were given instant heavy heads; it felt like our third eyes were being attacked. We moved to the stairs area and it went, then when we moved back into the room again the heaviness was back.
The temperature in this area now read 12.4, a considerable drop. The young girl Tracey had picked up on earlier appeared again to say she would bearound us all evening and the name Rebecca was later given by Jason. It was not felt that she was held here but in visitation.
As we all stood in the lower room area, the main automatic doors suddenly opened half way and closed again. This was quite a shock to us and about 3 seconds after this, the motion sensor alarm went off. We walked down to the upper end again to reset the sensor and as we stood there a spirit touched Jayne’s back.
A shadow was seen at the end of the wall in room A on the right hand side, facing the room.
Jayne began to pick up onthe spirit of a female who gave her name as Meg Starling. She was looking for her younger sister, who she was supposed to be looking after as she was ill. She was in her early teens, with long dark brown hair, some of it tied and she was wearing a cotton dress with tiny flowers on it. It was a creamy colour with blue flowers and there seemed to be a fine pin stripe on it. It was long and had puffy sleeves pulled in at the cuffs. She was felt to be a lively person who could be quite bossy at times. The time given was 1701-1781.
Again a shadow was seen moving about. This spirit appeared to be about 6ft in height and a male.
We decided to go and sit in room A to see if anything changed in that area as it was showing activity of some kind. We sat down on the seats and waited and our heads started to throb. The temperature felt very cold. We decided to take individual readings to see if anything had changed.

As we sat there a draft went through Jayne. Tracey complained that it felt so cold around her and again a temperature reading was taken. This was recorded as 12.9. She was experiencing an ache around her shoulder. Jayne was testing the temperature around Tracey with her hand and could feel the band of coldness inthat shoulder area.
Another shadow was recorded.
Benny kept feeling lots of movement as we stood there and felt that this area could have been like a thorough fair or track. He kept being given the impression of many people.
The name Barnibus was given to Jayne.
As Jayne and Tracey stood midway in the main room, Tracey was aware of male spirit energy. He said he had been involved with the 2ndworld war and it was felt he was military or army related. Emotion was felt from this person. He appeared to have lost some comrades, who were part of his outfit and it was felt there was a connection with
America. It seemed that he had been left behind and that he had suffered leg injuries. He gave the information L453, he seemed to be pacing as he felt he as on watch. It seemed his legs were so sore.
We moved on and Benny, Duggie and Jason who had been waiting by the door said that a face had been looking from them from inside the stairs area. No details could be given on this. The temperature inside the stairs area was now 9.1 a disinfectant smell was noticed by Duggie and Jayne on separate occasions on the stairs.
A male voice could be heard talking on the first floor as we walked up the stairs, this stopped as we entered. It was thought the voices were of two men.
Jayne and Tracey walked to the upper room area near the exit door and as Jayne walked towards the exit door she felt like she was walking through cob webs. Jason was taking still pictures and said he had picked up on some orbs as this happened. A heady feeling was being felt. Jayne then said she was being given peacocks and she was seeing a large lovely garden which was well kept. The temperature in this area was 12.0. A stately home was being given and it was felt that the images were connected with a person connected with the building. Tracey was also picking up on this energy and was being given the words, “In my time, this would be prayer time.” The information of a child dying was given and great sorrow brought from this. Jayne then felt dizzy. There was also information of a female who was connected with the stately home who was ill (long term),with a disease. She would have been in her 50’s. A nurse was seen connected with this woman with a tall nurse’s hat. Dogs of all sizes were seen, approx 7.
The room up to this point was quiet, a fan in the walkway where Jayne and Tracey had been suddenly started making a noise. This surprised us as it had not been on before, the rest of the heaters in the building are thermostatically controlled, but there are just two that are heaters which stand alone, turned off at the switch. This heater was not only on full blast and had been turned on but it was also icy cold.
We made our way to room B and before entering the strong smell of perfume was smelt by Duggie. Tracey was again feeling the heady feeling. Before we entered the room the song Oh Danny Boy was being heard by Tracey and a young woman was seen sitting in the corner of the room rocking with her arms around herself in comfort.
A rotten smell was being picked up by Duggie.
It was felt that someone was feeling uneasy with us all being in the building.
Tracey was feeling a pain inher left shoulder, Duggie was feeling Dizzy as well as tired, sleepy and had goose bumps. He complained of all his body aching. He seemed to be fine in himself but for the other investigators watching Duggie his appearance seemed to change. He appeared to grow taller, his face seemed to grow wider and his attitude seemed to change.
We now made our way into room B the temperature was taken as 10.0 and then dropped to 8.0. This room is individually thermostatically controlled. The trigger object which had been locked in this room had moved slightly. A pain was being felt on Jayne’s right shoulder. The name Margaret Fitzgerald was given and the place
Tuscany. Also Tracey was being shown a large boat, which had brought household goods from
India to
Englandto be taken to the large stately home.
We left room B and decided to take a break. When we went to turn the lights on at the switches, we discovered the lights had been turned off at the master switch downstairs, everyone confirmed that they had not been near the switches?
We took a 30 min coffee break and during this time Tracey and Benny heard a noise when standing near the stairs door, like an alarm. We decided to go and check it out but just before we opened the stairs door, a male cough was heard. Everyone else was upstairs and on checking no one was downstairs.
During the coffee break Duggie and Benny needed to go and collect some equipment from the ground floor, on entering the room they found the second wall heater on full blast with its coldest setting on.
We restarted the investigation by getting the ouija board out and under controlled circumstances began by asking for someone within or connected with the building to come through.
