Paranormal Investigation

At

St Benetts Abbey,Norfolk

Date of Investigation – Saturday 19th September2009

Members present – Duggie, Jayne, Neil, Des, Lucy & Simon

We began the investigation in the usual way, by checking that there was no electrical interference which would affect the EMF meter readings.  As we were walking along both Des and Jayne saw someone, so Duggie decided to call out and ask if there was anyone there.  Upon doing this Duggie was told,‘You are too young to know.’

Neil saw a spirit standing over by the trees and Lucy was feeling pressure on her head.  Simon was sensing lots of movement.

The group decided to walk over to the trees which seemed very close.  However when they were making their way over they realised that they were a lot further away than they had originally thought and wondered if they had been made to believe this? Des heard someone cough.  Jayne heard someone breathing and it was like they were struggling to do so.  Again, Neil saw a dark male figure but he kept hiding himself.  Duggie decided to once again call out and ask if anyone was there and if they were not happy that we were visiting.  At this point Jayne saw an orb above Duggies head which was white and the EMF meter went off.  Shortly after, Jayne and Des saw the orbagain, so Duggie decided to ask the spirit to show themselves.  Jayne then saw a woman who was standing behind Duggie.  She had white hair.  Des could again see an orb above Duggie which was closely followed by a strange shape (this was caught on camera).  Jayne was given a good feeling from the lady although she did not talk to her.  Simon saw a red orb and in the same area  Neil had seen someone crouching down.  The lady told Jayne that there were lots of young people who come there, but seemed frustrated that they do not hear what she says. She advised the group to stay together and that individuals do not wander off separately.  She also told Jayne that there is a young man there who she worries about because he’s held there.  The lady had a pinafore on and the year 1926 was given to Jayne.  Lucy was feeling that the atmosphere was friendly, but then heard a scream by the arch.  Duggie also felt like the group should go towards the arch, so we decided to make our way over there.

Lots of orbs were being seen by the group and Jayne and Simon saw a dark figure.  The lady again reminded Jayne that we must all stay together as she walked with us to the arch.  Duggie saw a man in front of the group and the lady advised us not to worry about him. Jayne felt a warm air go past her like a gust.  We walked under the arch into the mill but the lady did not accompany us in.  Des then felt a cold breeze go past him in the door way. The temperature inside at this point was 15.3C and outside it was 9.3C.  Lucy could now feel a breeze around her legs as the group stood around in a circle.  There was a child that Jayne could see standing next to Des.  She could see her face very clearly for a few seconds and upon telling the group, Des confirmed he had felt someone standing towards his right hand side.

Duggie decided to invite 3 people who were visitors to the abbey to join us.  He called out once we were all back into a circle for anyone to communicate with us. There was a lot of interference on the camera at this point.  Des saw a red flash near the 3 visitors.  Duggie asked if there was anyone with the group, could they touch or speak to Lucy. Lucy’s hand then went cold, yet the other hand was still warm.  Jayne told the group that a man had stood in the entrance to the mill for a little while but had now gone back out.  The question, ‘Is there someone on the second storey that wishes to speak to us?’ was asked and Jayne saw a yellow orb towards this area. Neil saw two flashes behind the visitors and the visitors told the group that they had felt unhappy since joining the group in the mill.  Neil had a very heavy chest in the middle, so Duggie suggested that he walk around the outside of the group circleto see if it was any worse in particular areas. Neil saw an orb as did Des.  Deswas at this point feeling pressure on his head. Some of the information given was linked to one of the visitors.  Lucy asked the spirit to throw something.  Neil was given the name George which one of the visitors confirmed was someone connected to them.  Des changed his recording position and could then hear talking.  Duggie and Jayne went outside at this point whilst the rest of the group stayed together, in the mill.  Simon and some other members could feel a breeze and one of the visitors said that as Duggie left the room they had felt dizzy.

The whole group decided to walk towards the abbey at this point, along with the three visitors.  The lady that had joined thegroup earlier, again walked with us and she told us that she was happy that we had left the mill.  We walked towards the boulder and the temperature was 12.8C. Three male figures were seen by Jayne and two of these had been at the mill standing outside, whilst we were there. Neil was given the name Margaret. Simon could see someone in white robes behind the group in the direction of the cross.  Margaret told Jayne that she liked Neil as he knew about chickens, so he could look after hers!  Neil saw someone walk past the cross.

The group then split in two with group one being Simon, Harry (visitor) and Neil and group two being Duggie, Jayne, Lucy, Des, Rachel (visitor) and Alex(visitor).  Group one walked towards thecross whilst group two decided to stay where they were.  Duggie walked over to group one to take them a walkie talkie. Lucy saw a flash between the Alex and Rachel and could feel fire all around her.  When Duggie returned to group two he told the group that Simon and Neil had picked up on the cross being on fire!  Simon and Neil had also seen a spirit male and when joining group two Duggie also saw him.  Although he disappeared shortly afterwards.  Jayne sensed a little girl looking for someone called Lucy.

Group two walked around to the other side of the outside wall and started to walk towards the cross to join the rest of the team. Duggie called out to see if anyone wished to communicate with us.  Des then joined the other group to record footage.  Neil could hear a strange sound over towards the river.  Des felt likesomeone was standing on his right hand side and he could hear someone walking.  The temperature on the cross was taken and read 18C and the area around it was 11.8C.  The two groups joined back together.

Des could hear talking and Simon saw a dog shaped animal running but there was no sound or movement.  Simon could sense an old man walking a chocolate Labrador whilst Lucy was sure that something was buried under the cross.  She could sense a very anxious man because of the item/s that was buried under the cross.  Neil then saw a male walk past Des.  The team decided to split into two groups again; group one was Lucy Jayne, Des and two of the visitors, and group two was Neil, Duggie, Simon and one visitor. Group one went towards the boulder and group two stayed at thecross.

Des could hear someone walking beside him which Jayne confirmed she had sensed too.  Jayne heard footsteps on the other side of the boulder and could also hear running water. She was given the feeling of wadding through water.  Both Lucy and Jayne saw a red orb in front of the cross where the other group were. Des could still feel someone standing beside him who seemed to be interested in the camera and was breathing down his neck.  He decided to ask him to walk in front of the camera to see if we could pick anything up, although we didn’t.  Duggie told the group via walkie talkie to make their way over towards the arch/mill and they would meet them there.

Upon reaching the mill there was again interference on the video camera.  Duggie told the group over the walkie talkie that he had heard screaming.  Simon picked up on a sail boat which was on the broads which had a large sail.  Lucy and Des could both hear voices.  When walking away from the cross, Duggie looked back and could see people sitting on it. The EMF meter went off and group one could smell sulphur.

We had a short break at this point and started again with the ouija board.  Unfortunately the ouija board was unsuccessful in the mill so we decided to call it a night.
