Investigators: Duggie,Benny, Jayne, Tracey and Neil (Jason was unable to attend)
Investigation began: 8.30pm

We entered the wood from the main car park area off of the A1075 Thetford road. We had not gone in too far before Jayne was picking up on a wheezing sound, no further information could be obtained so we moved on. A bit further along as we rounded a bend, Tracey felt she wanted to stop as it felt that there had been a junction of some sort here. The feeling was one of being shown a cross but not a religious one, more symbolic and the feeling that this would have been where a change of direction could have been taken.
As we walked on, two of the investigators heard a heavy breathing sound and Neil had a feeling of being watched, especially from behind him. A cold spot was felt on facing one way and yet the evening was warm and still. Chest palpations were being experienced again by two of the team. They described them as a feeling of being pushed on the chest.
A warning to Duggie was being given by Rufus (Jayne’s guide) to be careful tonight!
More whispering was heard by Jayne beside her and she was picking up that there was more than one energy, a male and female; the woman was speaking very quickly, almost in a manner of her words being urgent. The word “Freedom” was being given to Tracey. A cold spot was felt as we stood there, both Jayne and Neil were getting their hearts beating quickly. It was felt that this woman was in a hurry. The hair on the back of the neck of one of the investigators was standing up and at that point the battery on the video camera died.
At this point the lady who we had picked up on, was seen to be handing Jayne a piece of paper and asking that Jayne take this message for her. It was felt that in her past this woman would have been meeting someone on horseback to take this message for her, but a man stopped her from meeting the connection and therefore she still holds the message. The information was given from her that the message had been for her master who had been staying in
London on Business. The message had been to say that her mistress was ill and that the master was to return to the hall immediately, (Griston Hall was given as the hall). It was felt this woman giving us the information had been one of the servants from the hall and that the servants quarters would have been to the right hand side of the hall as you faced it. It was understood from the woman that the master had not got the message in time and had not got back in time. The woman still feels responsible for this. The woman finished by saying she was happy that Jayne was taking the message for her.
Neil was picking up at the same time on a young girl. The name being given was
Elizabeth but he was unsure if this young girl was connected to the woman. The young girl was showing herself as about 6-7 years old and she was saying that she was lost and was searching. It was felt her passing was near an embankment in the wood. The young girl was described as having a mass of blond hair, shoulder length and a date of 1840’s was being given. She was wearing a pinafore dress and boots with a greyish white frill. She was wearing stockings with a hole in one knee. Again, we were given the feeling of the hair on the back of our necks standing up and a cold feeling around the shoulders.
We carried on walking along the wood path, a shadow which had been noticed by Neil was once again being spotted. The name Thomas was being given, he was in his mid 40’s, approx 46 as he was showing himself.
The name Ashlar was given to Jayne as we walked up to the gate and the EMF bleeped. As Duggie looked back along the path we had come along, he caught the sight of red eyes. He said he could see something that appeared to be walking backwards and forwards. A shadow of a person could also be seen but veered off to the right of the path.
Along the path further knapping could be heard as in flints being worked. The feeling when we were out in the open of a fair, or the path had been used for people to walk along and they were heading to a fair.
The sound of male laughing was heard by Tracey a very low sound and another shadow was seen near the post as we went round the corner.
As we stood, Jayne saw a shadow come past us and between Tracey and herself, it was in the form of a misty outline. A flash of light was seen also at this time.
As we neared another road, children could be heard laughing, Neil and Jayne were complaining of a lowerback pain. Neil suddenly felt himself being pushed from behind and had a feeling of dizziness.
Jayne felt the compulsion to cross herself as a catholic would do.
At this point we turned round and retraced our steps the way we had come. Again as we came to the post on the corner the battery died on the video camera, so the batteries were changed. We continued back into the wood and we had not got far into wood when Neil’s backache was so painful he was forced to sit on the floor. As we looked at him we could see an energy over shadowing him. Tracey worked with him to step away from the energy who then went. Neil was in such pain he had been unable to pick up on who the energy had been.
We continued to walk back to the car without further incident and ended the investigation.
