Weather Dry/Slight

Investigators:
Takis, Tracey, Jason, Lee, Clive, Liz, Jim, Lee & Carl
Note taker -
Tracey.
Please see diagram below for layout of building.
The
investigation began about 8pm with everyone gathering in the Car Park, a warm
welcome to the two new members of the investigation Carl and Lee.
The name William was given as a first name to Tracey and there was
a feeling of an archer who was standing at the very top of the walls where an
opening was. Takis picked up on the son of William, who was also called
William and a surname of something like Walerin or Wallin. When the
son came to the castle, Takis felt that he should not have been there, it was
felt he sneaked his way in to become the owner of it and perhaps he may have
even used politics to get his way in. He was part of it in 1070.
At this point
Jim’s camera decided to stop working. Jason was also experiencing
problems with his camera for a period of time, one minute saying it had 85%
battery life, then it would flash as empty, then it would say almost full
battery a few minutes later. We were starting to walk around the outside of the
moat to the left of the main building when this happnened.
As we walked
back into the large room, the air felt denseand there was a smell which we all
experienced. At 8.47pm a trigger object was put into place in the room
marked A in the corner and three separate investigators verified it was in
place. A temp reading was taken of 4.3 inside room A and 9
outside.
Takis felt
that the 11th/12th century changes were made to the
castle for the good, but then they were not finished.
Lights were seen
by Liz in the distance as well as a burning smell but no fires could be seen,
although we did not rule out that this could’ve been a fire somewhere nearby.
Clive agreed to
take notes for the second group when we split into two groups on
investigations.
We walked from
the main buildings, over the bridge and turned right towards the moat direction
to some out buildings and here Takis had the feeling of not being welcome.
Clive felt that
when looking up at a square opening, at the South side of the moat wall, that
this was an important part of the wall and that it had a big purpose at the
time.
Tracey saw two
leopard like animals at this point.
As we walked
back across the grass to the bridge a feeling that we were being watched was
noted and also a person was seen crossing near the bridge in the distance
before us by Takis and Liz.
We walked back
towards the west side and on doing so, Takis and Tracey spotted something
white that went from right to left and disappeared down out of sight.
The moat reading
near the bridge was 5.5 at 9.15pm.
We now walked
from the West side of the moat to the left and round and on looking up, Tracey
was shown a young girl aged 7 or 8. A name of Anne Louise was
given. The name John Lloyd was given to Takis.
A shadow was
seen moving again this time by Liz and Dug.
Lee complained
of a mild headache which had suddenly started.
We made our way
back to room A, and a male was heard laughing by Tracey. He seemed to be
an elderly gentleman with greying curly hair of around 75 years. Clive at
this point experienced blowing on his face. A red orb was seen on
camera. Tracey picked up on a child who was the niece of the elderly man
and a lady, who was the daughter of the male. The gentleman was pacing
backwards and forwards he seemed quite agitated. He seemed less angry once
Takis left the room.
Jim heard a deep
voice whilst standing at the opposite end to the trigger object.
Takis, Liz and
Lee walked above Room A, and felt again that they were being watched.
The gentleman
suddenly said of Takis, “He’s the one who could stir things up, he is a
powerful one.”
Looking up from
Room A, above the trigger object corner, a misty area was seen.
Tracey felt that
a cross was put in the centre of the grassed area.
Again it was
felt that we were being watched. Takis was again given the name of
Wallerin or warrinder. There was a white shadow on the side of the bridge
seen by Takis and Liz. Clive saw a dark shadow and white flashing
light. Clive & Jim heard the sound of someone jumping down when
walking on the top of the bank above room A. The railings seemed to
vibrate yet there was no one near them whilst lee was holding them. More
flashing lights were being seen by individual people. The shadow that
Takis kept seeing appeared to be doing a circuit.
Back in room A
the temperature was 4.3, on the floor was 13.8 and the wall was 2.3.
Takis was given
that the son William was aged 30 and that he died when he was around 48 or
49. He seemed quite mixed up but high up in status, a public
figure. He had a right hand man who was familiar with areas of witchcraft
and who helped him get where he was. It was felt that William was used as
an escape goat for someone else and was taking the blame for something someone
else had done or did.
It was felt that
there was two levels to the building. It was also felt that this young
man was on a different level when communicating with us, perhaps like he would
not have come down into the lower level that we stood in when in room A.
It was
felt that room A was possibly a store room or something similar.
We walked down
into Castle Acre village itself and to the Arch, here the EMF meter continually
went off, it did not seem predicable. There were no power cables etc
visable, although obviously a full investigation of power sources was not
undertaken.
Walking back to
the car park we had a break and then continued by walking again round the
moat. There were more lights seen and many pictures were taken of orbs.
We ended the
night about 12.30pm and a good evening had by all.
History of Castle acre castle
researched by Jim.
This was an 11th Century manor
house of 2 storey which was built over a late anglo saxon manor
house. It was founded just after 1066 by the first earl of
Surrey called William de Warenne who died in 1088.
He had a son, also called William, the second Earl of Surrey who founded the
12th Century stone ringwork and Bailey castle gate. The moat was
raised in order to strengthen it in the civil war (King Stephen), but was
probably never completed. It was all demolished by Henry II. It had
been used until 1347 when the last Warenne died having by now founded the whole
town. The first Earl of Surrey was the son of Ralph de Warenne and Emma,
also the grand-nephew of the Duchess of Gunor. His wifes name was
Gundred. The de Warenne name came from the river Varenne in
Upper Normandy.
